Job Vacancies For Thousands Of Filipina Muslim and Non-Muslim Nurses in Saudi Arabia

According to the ABS-CBN news last March 4, 2009, thousands of Filipina Muslim and Non-muslim nurses are in demand in Saudi Arabia.

Actually, there are already 2000 Job offers for filipina muslims in POEA, but only 600 have been filled yet so there are still 1400 vacant job offers. Since filipina nurses are in demand in other parts of the world, Saudi Arabia decided that they would accept filipina nurses even though they haven't taken or passed the Nursing Board Exam yet as long as they are muslims.

Not only muslim nurses are in demand in Saudi Arabia. They still have 5000 Job vacancies for filipina muslims and non-muslims.

According to DOLE, a nurse in Saudi Arabia can receive 2250 to 4000 Saudi Arabian Riyal or more or less 50,000 Philippines Peso. Aside from free housing, wages are also tax-free.

For guys who want to work in Saudi Arabia, a Respiratory Therapist and a X-ray Technician is in demand there.

For those who are interested for the Job orders in Saudi, you may call:
POEA Information Center: 722-1144 or 722-1155
or visit their website at:

Buti ang nurses di affected ng recession. Kaya lang napakarami na ng nagnu-nursing. Now I hear inconsistent news... some say, there's still a big demand for nurses, but I also saw another news that the demand was not as good as that in the 90s.

Anyway I guess you know more about the situation since you are in that field.

hehe! the media is inaccurate kasi ate eh.. sa totoo lang.. marami na man tlga job offerings.. hindi lang nakikita nang iba kasi masyado silang focus sa idea nga wla nang job offerings.. hehe!

Yup it's true. Dahil din sa media ang reason kung bakit lahat gusto mag-nursing, at media rin ang magdidispel dito.

This is difficult for new students. Lumaki ako believing I should pursue what I want to be in college. Things are different now. Dapat talaga alam na ng student out from high school pa lang kung ano ang in-demand na course - and it should not only come from the media but from those reliable sources - DOLE, POEA, etc.
